Where the EFF did February go? We have two more days left but Lord have mercy!!! The 3rd month of the year is two days away. So that means my trip to China is like 13 days away. This means that Spring time is near. This means that I'm already 32 because my birthday has passed. This means that Sofia's birthday party is 8 months away. This means the Easter bunny will be visiting soon.

I'm crazy sometimes.
So the other day I was watching a movie on TV and there was a part in the movie where a guy high-jacks this persons car. And have you ever noticed that in movies, no car-jacker EVER runs out of gas? It's like they get lucky and the person's car that they steal, always has gas.
Well as I was driving the other day and the fuel light came on in my car, I thought "A car jacker would be PISSED if they took my car, I NEVER HAVE GAS!!"
And I chuckled a little and continued to put gas. :) The End.

Oscar Night 2012
Last night was the first time I ever attended an Oscar Watch Party. And I'm so glad I did. Well mostly I was excited to eat all the goodies and of course hang out with my dear friends. :)
And even though it's called a watch party, what we really were there to do was critique all the outfits!! DUH!!! There were definitely some high and lows for me. I'm going to start with the lows because those are funner to talk about.
George Clooney and that girl he's with....Ok so please know that I would never have anything bad to say about George because he's already perfect. But we all know that his choice is women could be better. But I digress. Now let's talk about Stacey's gold-hideous-horrific dress. Please ladies - do not wear gold lame (pronounced LA-MAY) to the Oscars. The only person who should be in gold is Oscar himself!!! And who the heck forgot to brush this girl's hair? Ay Dios mio...I hated this dress. The bow, the strappy thing that fell off her arm....NO BUENO!
Ohhhh J-Lo...why did you wear this horrible dress?? AND why did you comb your hair like every Latina at every prom on earth wears their hair... LIKE SELENA!! And this dress...while it's not as offensive as the gold lame from above, but those holes in her sleeves are making my eyes hurt. And as a Latina, I know we like to show off our curves but I don't think this dress did it in the right way. And those stripes didn't do it for me either. I'm a sorta fan of J-Lo but I've seen her look WAY better. I give this a D-.
Ok, so as a big girl myself, I have to say that this dress is probably not this girl's fault...BUT I HATE when they make big girls look horrible on the red carpet!!!!!!!!!! I love the bling accents on the neckline and the waist but those "sleeves" look like they were an afterthought. It looks like it was supposed to be sleeveless but since her arms are bigger than the rest of the skinny bitches there, they wanted to cover them up! Well I promise it would have looked better without them. I think her face and were very pretty but that dress...another D-.
Ok, let's go to the good ones!
Penelope looked DIVINE in this Tom Ford dress. She looked like an Old Hollywood starlet and I loved everything about it. The color is gorgeous and the fit of this dress is amazing. If I were Penelope, I would wear this at home, in the garden, at the grocery store. It's PERFECT!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
You couldn't tell by the way I dress :) but I am so very picky about what celebrities wear. Yes, the girl who shops at Thrift stores and Target...whatever. It is my job to judge! ANYWAY, my point is, I only have two favorites from last night. So this last one is my ultimate grand supreme winner!
Emma Stone was a Vision last night. Everyone knows that my favorite color is slut red and this was it. By no means am I saying Emma is a slut, it just describes the COLOR! :) I adore this dress and if I was skinny, I would totally buy a knock-off and wear it to my next GHP event. The cut fits her perfectly. The big ass bow at her neck is heavenly. Her red hair looked so good with it. And I LOVE her chunky bracelet. There's NOTHING about this dress I don't love. And when she presented, I fell even deeper in love with this dress. It flowed gloriously. I freaking adored this dress. I think this may be my favorite all-time dress. EVER.

China or Bust!
I haven't blogged about it but now that my flight is finally booked, I can say to the world that I am going to CHINA!!!!! Yes, like forreal China...where the Great Wall is. Yup, THAT China!!
My job is hosting familiarization tours for our members and since they need staff to go, I was chosen for this one. I didn't even hesitate to say yes when I was asked. I will probably never has another opportunity to go to China AGAIN, so I took the opportunity.
I am most excited about seeing The Great Wall of China. I may even shed a tear. I know, I have issues. But I have always been a history buff and things like that give me goose bumps! To think this was created by people a gazillion years ago and it's 4000 MILES long...that's an insane amount of wall! The Great Wall is on my bucket list and I am so thankful I will be able to cross it off!
I will blog more about it as we get closer...BUT HOW EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday is here!
Why do we dread Mondays?? I don't know the answer, but maybe someone will. :)
Monday is here so that means we just had a weekend right? How was yours? Mine was GREAT! Well it wasn't that great but it was good. As I was thinking about blogging about my weekend, I really DO NOT know what the heck I did on Friday, so let's skip to Saturday! :)
Oooooooh wait, now I remember!! (This is really how my mind works people)....
Anyway, I went to work on Friday but only stayed half a day. Our department retreat was that day so we got to leave at 11:30 a.m. We all went to the Hotel ZaZa and were treated to lunch, snacks AND MASSAGES!!!! Yes, I do love my job sometimes. :) The massages were Christmas gifts from our contact at the hotel. Isn't he precious??? So we did actual work then in the late afternoon, we got pampered.
O.M.G. The massage was UH-MAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! But before the massage I realized I forgot to shave my legs!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank GOD they had showers and razors at the spa because I cleaned up RIGHT before I went it. Phew...that was a close one. BUT THEN, when I walked in to the room, I realized I forgot to put underwear ON! Ay Dios mio.....oh well...I'm sure she's seen worse. I hope. So that was my Friday. A good one right?
Saturday during the day - I forget. In the evening, Boogie's sister came to pick up Sofia. Sofia spent the night and we had Mommy and Daddy time. We went to dinner and a movie. The movie started at 11:25 p.m. - WAY past my bed time but we went anyway. We both looked at each other around 11pm and said "I'm sleepy". LOL! We are such losers. We saw Contraband and it was REALLY good. I would definitely recommend it. Thankfully it was good and it woke us up!
Sunday I didn't do a gosh darned thing and I am proud of it. I watched two football games, played Words with Friends and watched American Idol. I love lazy Sundays and every once in a while, we all need it.
Can you believe January is almost over???? Chew on that.... :)

NFL Season is almost over!!!
Say it isn't so!!!!!! I really do get a bit depressed when football season comes to a close. Is that weird? The super bowl is a few weeks AWAY!!!! Although the Super Bowl is more about eating and drinking and watching funny commercials than it is football... :)
So the Texans lost last week. I was sorta kinda but not really rooting for them. LOL! I wanted them to win so the city of Houston could be happy but I wanted them to lose because I chose the Ravens on my playoff bracket! :) Hey...there's money involved so I had to go with my heart.
But when they lost, I really did feel sorry for the players. This was their first year in the playoffs and I know they wanted to go far (although they weren't going to win the Super Bowl...let's not get crazy!) I told Boogie it was better that they lost now and not let everyone down later...right? Boogie says I'm crazy...but what does he know?
So I will enjoy the few games left before the season is really over. I don't know what the heck I'll watch after that. Basketball is soooooooooooooooooo boring. They should have just stayed in a lock - out...it freed up tv time for things that people actually watch. The Astros will start playing in April..but we know how horrible and stinky they are. OH but the Olympics are this year...CAN'T WAIT FOR THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the summer Olympics...it's Un-American not to. I said.
OR, instead of worrying about what's on TV, maybe I should be productive and clean my closets, go for a walk....NAH. That sounds boring. :)

American Idol
I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!!! And can I tell you how excited I am that the premier is tomorrow????? I cannot wait. I even went as far as inviting friends over for a premier - and all those sorry asses said NO! LOL! Whatever...I will enjoy the show without them. Oh wait, Cassie said she would come but that really doesn't count because she lives with me!!! Does this mean I'm a loser?
Everyone knows that the first few weeks of this show is hysterical. All the idiots who think they can sing actually go on national TV and swear they are the next Celine. And we all know they sound worse than a dying cow. That is TV GOLD!!! Just watch - I promise you won't be disappointed.
Oh and I LOVE the new judges - yes even dumb J-Lo. :)
