The more I talk about how fast time is going, the faster it goes. I'm so serious. I swear October just started and it's already day 12! WTH?? That means Sofia's birthday has already passed AND Halloween is literally around the corner.
Which also means Thanksgiving and Christmas are on its heels. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?? Did we not just ring in 2011? And now it's almost time to ring in 2012? I know that EVERY year we say "time is flying" but I promise that after I turned 30, it's like I wake up and months have been skipped!!!
Well even though it's almost the end of the year, this is my favorite time! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the holidays. Not only because we get time off but because I love the "feel" of this time of year. I love seeing decorations up. I love seeing the stores put up their aisles of crap I don't need but buy anyway!
Fall weather is also the best!!! I love being able to walk outside and not sweat immediately!!!!! And it's good hair weather and I need it.
Well I hope you are already thinking of what your kids will be for Halloween and what's on the Thanksgiving and Christmas menus!!!!

Sofia Turns TWO!
I have been talking about Sofia turning two all year it seems and it finally arrived. As you all know I have been planning her party since October of last year January and I think it was a success! I took all of last week off to get ready for the party and boy am I glad I did. I swear I was busy every day of the week and on Saturday, I STILL had things to get done. HOW DOES THAT WORK!!??!!?
Well the good thing is that it's done and over with and everyone that went had a great time. AND my record for guests was broken this year. Last year 100 people joined us to celebrate Sofia's 1st birthday and this year we had 120! Now that's a lot of damn people and a lot of damn Mexicans!!! But the sweat that went in to this party was so well worth it. I know Sofia won't remember any of it but that's why God created cameras and blogs sothat I can throw it in Sofia's face Sofia can look back and see what a great party she had. :)
The party was held at the same place it was last year, Alexander Deussen Park. The weather cooperated and I was so thankful! It was a bit warmer than I would have liked but at least it didn't rain. THANK YOU JESUS!!! We served the same food as last year too -- hot dogs, burgers, nachos and frito pies. No healthy food here! And from what I hear, it was good!
I love birthday parties because you get to see people you don't normally see and you get to catch up. Kids parties are never for the kids, they are for the adults!!! Below are some pictures from the day.

Me and my baby. She doesn't smile -- just like her dad! |
I adore this picture of my Sofia! |
She didn't want to hit the pinata. It's official. She's not Mexican. |
Getting ready to sing Happy Birthday! |
It was hot so excuse my non-brushed hair! |
My dear friend Audrey made this for me. Isn't it amazing?!?! |
