Are you sure it's December 1? Wasn't January 1 like the other day?
Anywho...the calendar says it's December 1 so I guess they are right! And what a perfect December day it is here in Houston. It was freezing this morning. There was even ice on the windows. LOVE IT!
To celebrate the beginning of December and the countdown to Christmas (eeek!), we are going to go and buy our Christmas tree tonight! This used to be my favorite thing to do as a kid. My mother was very picky on the tree we bought and we usually had to visit 3 or 4 places to find just the right one. AND I will be the same. I hope Home Depot has THE one.
My favorite part is taking down the boxes from the attic and taking out all of the ornaments. It brings back soooo many fun memories. I sometimes think I want to do a coordinated tree with same color ornaments and bows, but my OLD ornaments make that impossible. Sooooo old school tree it is!
I am going to be interested to see how Sofia is going to react to it. She's at that age where a lighted tree means "oooh let me touch it!" I see a lot of slapped hands in her future!! :)

OMG... Karmen walks by the tree very sneaky trying to touch the ornaments. I have found ornaments in the trash, in her toy box, and under the sofa. Thank God they are plastic. I tell her "no" and she acts like she wasnt doing anything. She has also had a lot of slapped hands.
