Why are kids bad?

So I think Sofia is getting into her "terrible twos" a little early.  YAY FOR ME -- NOT.  Last Saturday was the first time ever that I couldn't wait to drop Sofia off with someone else!  She was on my last dang nerve.  I won't bore you with the details but basically I pissed her off and she slapped me.  Not like pretended to slap me, but actually slapped me across my face!!  I'm not even joking.  She's lucky we were at a baby shower full of white people because if we were at home or around MY family, she would have gotten a beat down!!! So I had to sternly grab her hand and tell her NO and that's it.  Again, she's LUCKY!

So I dropped her off that day at her aunt's house and didn't see her until Sunday...and that's when she was sick so it wasn't an issue anymore.

WELL...last night she did it AGAIN!!!!!!!!! All because I didn't let her play with my phone.  This time we were at home. HAHA! :)  SO I grabbed her face, looked her in the eye and told her no and I also slapped her hands for hitting me. I hope this girl doesn't think she's the boss of me -- because she AIN'T! :)  And what pisses me off even more is that she doesn't really cry. WTF?!?!?!??!  I HIT HER HARD.

So she went off and started playing like nothing had even happened.  But she tried to come and sit back in my lap and gave the "puppy dog" face but I was not moved in the slightest. I told her that I was at mad at her and to leave me alone.  :)  She finally cried and ran to the room. :)  YES, I GOT TO HER!!!!!!

I honestly don't know where she gets her temper from -- because I really am a calm person. I blame it on Boogie's side. :)

I will keep you posted on Sofia's antics...and if you have any advice, let me know!

Sofia is right on schedule. Testing the water is just what they do. To be honest there really is not any advice that will directly help in such a situation. Every child is so different and thier personalities are amazingly erratic. I could really bore you with what Isaac and Helena do to piss me off in any given day and I could tell you I have invested in pants with pockets to keep my hands in so I don't rip thier heads off at times. But, the one thing I will share with you is that Sofia is smart and she knows without a doubt her mommy loves her. So, she will see how far she can go and get to you. That sweet baby wants to see you squirm. So, try to keep it all in check because the less you show her the less she will try your patience. If that doesn't work...the Good Book say's, "Spare the rod spoil the child" Translation - Hit them! LOL
